A 17 Gb/s, 200-meter multimode optical fiber link using CMOS analog ICs and silicon carrier packaging

We demonstrate a 17 Gb/s optical link using transmitter and receiver CMOS integrated circuits. We achieved error free operation over a 200-meter long OM3 multimode fiber operating at 850 nm. © 2006 IEEE.
