Abstract

Rapid advances in information technology (IT) has brought radical transformations in the US research universities. IT is affecting the style and environment of the research university, also collegiality, economics and effectiveness. The IT revolution has also affected university activities, altering costs and processes associated with them. Advanced e-business applications integrate multiple activities and support coordination across organizations and corporate boundaries.
