Memory-Correlator Cells Employing Acoustically Induced Charge Hologram in Piezoelectric Semiconductors
Abstract
Memory-correlator cells operated in the c-band microwave frequencies, employing the scheme of the acoustically induced charge hologram, are described. The cell structure is a quasi-TEM mode resonant circuit built on the piezoelectric crystal, such as CdS. The structure combines the circuit and the storage media together. The experimental device is able to store a 7-bit signal in a volume of 3.10-4 cm3. Copyright © 1978 by The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.
