Need for critical assessment

Abstract

Adventurous technological proposals are subject to inadequate critical assessment. It is the proponents who organize meetings and special issues. Optical logic, mesoscopic switching devices and quantum parallelism are used to illustrate this problem. © 1996 IEEE.
