poliWeet — Election prediction tool using tweets[Formula presented]

Abstract

Twitter is a platform used to express opinions. These opinions are measured for different purposes. One such purpose is to measure the inclination of people toward political events and, thus, the outcome of elections. For this purpose, we propose poliWeet, a tool to predict the outcome of elections using Twitter. We evaluated our poliWeet on 2019 Indian general elections dataset and found that our poliWeet gave excellent results.
