Abstract
Various standards developed for efficient working of a grid technology are discussed. The goal of grid technology is to provide shared computing resources, without consumers knowing the details of the computing components. The grid infrastructure connects hardware, storage and software across high-speed networks providing flexible and secure access to applications and data. It is suggested that standardization of the interfaces between the infrastructure, the managed resources and their consumers to support any significant infrastructure over heterogeneous resources. The objective of the groups is to produce documents describing best practices, technical specifications and implementation guidelines for grid computing.
