Bio
Hidetoshi Numata received his B.S., M.S., and Ph. D. degree in basic science from the University of Tokyo in 1992, 1994, and 1998, respectively. He had joined the laboratory for laser physics and quantum electronics. His Ph. D thesis was 'correlation interferometer for measurement of ballistic photons propagating in highly scattering media and its application'.
In 1998, he joined the display technology group at IBM Research - Tokyo (Tokyo Research Laboratory). He is currently a member of the optical interconnect technology group at IBM Research - Tokyo. He is a member of OSA, IEEE, the Physical Society of Japan, the Japan Society of Applied Physics, the Japan institute of Electronics Packaging, and IEICE (the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers). He is also a program committee member of ICSJ (IEEE CPMT Symposium Japan).
