My research interests are deep reinforcement learning, in particularly safe reinforcement learning using a probabilistic approach. Other interests include uncertainty analysis, GIS, Reinforcement Learning, decision support systems, interdependencies of complex systems, and agent-based modelling. My focus is to create applied research outputs that can address industry's needs. I have a background in Physical Geography and Environmental Sciences, in particular hydrology, water management and GIS applications for environmental management. I have participated in two EPSRC projects (ARCC-Water 2009-2013 and Blue Green Cities 2013-2016), one international collaboration (Clean Water for All project 2014) and have worked for the University of Cambridge, HR Wallingford, WS Atkins, the World Agroforestry Centre, and the International Institute of Applied System Analysis. At IBM, I work on reinforcement learning applications on water networks and wastewater treatment plants.
