Marcelo de Oliveira Costa Machado

Marcelo Machado is a Research Scientist at IBM Research since 2019. He holds a PhD degree in Informatics (2024) from UNIRIO (Brazil) and Master's degree in Computer Science (2018) from UFJF (Brazil). With over 10 years of experience in software development, Marcelo has worked in different domains such as Informatics in Education, Intelligent Tutoring Systems, Cognitive Biases in Search as Learning Systems. Within IBM Research he worked on projects in the Oil and Gas Industry and currently with Sustainable Materials. His main contributions are based on Semantic Web, Knowledge Bases, Ontologies and Language Models technologies.
